Fitzhugh, Chief of the Laboratory of Early Sickle Mortality Prevention and Lasker Clinical Research Scholar at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, NIH. Dr. Fitzhugh studies how stem cell transplantation can be applied using allogeneic and autologous sources to cure sickle cell disease, as well as the long-term health effects of SCD therapies.
