Endocrinologist Dr. E. Dale Abel (view profile) and DEIC Consulting Member Utibe Essien, MD, MPH  (Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine — Health Services Research, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA) discussed Dr. Abel’s journey to becoming a physician-scientist and holding a leadership position, from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica to Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship, then to major US medical institutions.
